Orchid photo observation record
Keep dated root or flower-stem observations, or document one plant through repotting.
Currently we collect records only. There is no automatic identification, disease diagnosis, promised reply or expert review. For rapid decline, seek local horticultural help.
What to photograph
For a possible young root or flower spike: the whole plant, its attachment point, the tip and a size reference. Return later with follow-up photos. Record “unknown” when you cannot identify the growth.
For repotting that is already needed: the plant before, supplies, unpotting, visible roots, placement, completed pot and follow-up. Keep a consistent plant label and background. Do not repot a healthy plant or cut roots just to complete this record. Photos and dates cannot by themselves prove plant identity or health.
Privacy and limits
Records expire 90 days after the first submission; follow-ups do not extend this. Expired records are inaccessible and removed by hourly cleanup. Anyone with your private link can view, add to or delete the record: keep it private and save it yourself. There is no account or link recovery.
Upload only your own photographs, without people, addresses or other sensitive information. We remove image metadata, including GPS, and store resized JPEG copies up to 2048 pixels. Keep your originals. Up to six JPEG, PNG or WebP images per submission, 5 MB each and 20 MB combined; maximum 24 images per record.
Public reuse is separately optional and unchecked by default. Permission is not publication: the publisher must review accuracy, attribution and permission again before any public use. Withdrawing permission applies to future use; contact us about any already published copy. No public gallery is enabled.
Email is optional and does not trigger notifications. Your record and optional email are privately stored for review by the publisher. See PrivacyContact.
